Innovative Field Defense Label™ from Aptus Global

Brighton, MI. March 2009 – Aptus Global has designed the Field Defense Label™ with one goal in mind; field durability.  The new Field Defense Label™ holds up to harsh environments such as abrasion, chemicals, and vehicle fluids while maintaining readability.  The Field Defense Label™ is crack resistant which makes it an excellent candidate for applications with sharp angles and irregular surfaces.

Field Defense Label™ is an advanced second generation of laser markable labels.  Similar to standard laser labels, these labels are both cut and marked using a Fiber, Vanadat or Nd:YAG laser.  The Field Defense Label™ separates itself from current laser label technology through its innovative Interior Mark Technology.  Interior Mark Technology uses the laser beam to create a mark of text and images at the interior of the label without damaging its protective top layer.  The clear protective top layer is a strong barrier to chemicals, fluids and abrasion, having been engineered specifically to provide protection for the label content.  Code and human readable data are easily read through this special permanent top layer.  The Field Defense Label™ adhesive layer is formulated to permanently bond to a wide variety of Military materials including CARC paint.  Field Defense Labels™ have a black face with white reveal material and available in multiple sizes including uncut roll or sheet stock.
